Qualifications

* Minimum 5 years’ relevant professional experience in Credit Risk, gained in a leading Bank or other Financial Institution, and including hands-on exposure to the latest developments in Basel II
* Demonstrable familiarity with current best-practice in risk measurement methodology and risk management tools (Basel II, rating, pricing, probability of default, loss given default (LGD) modelling)
* Good knowledge of credit portfolio models (CreditMetrics, Fermat) would be an advantage
* Previous exposure to reporting on complex risk issues
* Excellent knowledge of English and a good command of French. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage

Accountabilities:

Qualifications:

* At least 10 years in managerial functions with people management responsibilities of a large team
* Solid banking, credit and financial background and outstanding performance track record in these domains, and in-depth understanding of risk management methodologies, policies, issues and challenges.
* Broad knowledge of EIB objectives, strategies and policies; with an ability to understand and anticipate its role within the EU policy framework.
* Fluent in English or French and a solid understanding of the other

Qualifications

* Higher education diploma or degree (post – graduate) in Civil Engineering or Architecture
